SOS Children’s Villages in Zimbabwe, in partnership with BATA, recently hosted a Youth Employability, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship Workshop aimed at equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market and become successful entrepreneurs in their communities. The workshop, held in Harare at SOS Children’s Villages Waterfalls Location and brought together participants from various backgrounds, all eager to learn and grow.
One participant, Patrick, shared, ‘I am grateful for the opportunity to attend this workshop. I have learned so much already about business plan writing and social marketing skills. I am excited to apply these new skills in my business ventures and future career endeavours.’
Another participant, Yolanda, expressed her enthusiasm for the entrepreneurship sessions, stating, ‘I have always dreamed of starting my own business, and this workshop is giving me the tools and confidence to turn that dream into a reality. I am inspired by the stories of successful entrepreneurs who have shared their journeys with us.’
The workshop, facilitated by experienced trainers and industry professionals, covered a range of topics including communication skills, financial literacy, and business planning. Participants engaged in hands-on activities and group discussions, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
