Thank you for your kindness
The SOS Children’s Villages in Zimbabwe, Board, staff and children under our care, express gratitude to the Vice President’s family for being part of our donor family by reconstructing a gazebo and drilling a borehole at our Herman Gmeiner Primary school in Bulawayo at a cost of nearly US$13 000 as it aims to address some of the challenges affecting the community. SOS Children’s Villages Bulawayo has over 60 children enrolled at the school out of a total enrollment of 914. The school is also in the vicinity of our Bulawayo Children’s Village which implies the children under our care will also benefit immensely. Colonel Baloyi-Chiwenga the second lady, said coming to the aid of the school was part of her family’s efforts to complement President Mnangagwa’s vision of delivering a competitive education sector. Our Board Chairperson, Dr Faith Nyamukapa expressed gratitude, emphasizing that every child had a right to dream and various stakeholders, entities and individuals should support the dreams of children who had lost parental care be it in cash or in kind, as they are our children, they are Zimbabwean Children. “Today, in a world where everyone is advocating for a green environment, the timing of the donation couldn’t be better. I know plans are underway with the school administration to setup a garden and other income generating activities for the school”, she highlighted.
